Foreword

Article Outline

Scar-related ventricular tachycardia is most commonly associated with previous myocardial infarction. There are other causes, for example, arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia. Such patients have frequent arrhythmias. Pharmacologic therapy has not been very efficacious and drug-related side effects are common.

Dr. William Stevenson is a very well-known, highly respected electrophysiologist who is recognized as an expert with great deal of experience with scar-related ventricular tachycardia. He and his colleagues have prepared an excellent, comprehensive, up-to-date review of this topic; it has 124 references.

The Editorial Board and I are grateful to Dr. Stevenson and his colleagues for a very exciting article.
